A midwest transplant, I spent over a decade living and working in Atlanta as a lighting professional for film and television. I now put that same creative energy into planting design, drawing inspiration from light, texture and movement.
I design with a wild palette of perennials and grasses, championing diverse and multilayered plantings that unfold across the seasons. Knowing our plants and planting them very densely, our gardens can rely less on people, resources and even welcome wildlife.
Less weeding. Less watering. Less mulching.
I offer design services for new plantings with ongoing stewardship and thoughtful enhancements to challenged gardens. Landscape construction, such as grading and hardscape work, is provided through trusted landscape contractors and hired by the client.
